Victoria County Master Gardener Assoc.- Smart Gardening Symposium

Victoria County Master Gardener Association's Smart Gardening Symposium will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at VEG Pavilion, 283 Bachelor Dr., at the Victoria Regional Airport. Four speakers will discuss the challenges of gardening in South Texas. Topics will include: Water conservation, Small native trees for the landscape, native plants and protecting pollinators. A registration fee of $60 per person will be charged. For a registration form go to txmg.org/victoria/registration. The deadline for registrating is Sept. 25. Complete information is available at txmg.org/victoria. Registration forms also are available at the Victoria County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office on Waco Drive at the airport. In addition to speakers the event will include a lunch, beverage, goodie bags, door prizes and snacks.
