The Naval Criminal Investigative Service will be sending three very qualified women to speak, to include:
- Supervisory Special Agent Dana Shutt who is currently the supervisor over the Charleston, SC office and has much experience in forensic science.
- Special Agent Bianca Beckman, located in Georgia, who has been a Forensic Consultant for NCIS for many years, and
- Intelligence Specialist Angela Blancow who has been a part of their intelligence team for several years and brings a lot of experience and knowledge when it comes to Naval Intelligence.
The panel will start at 6 p.m. and conclude with a question & answer session, the opportunity to mingle with the panelists, and refreshments to enjoy at 7 p.m.
Each March 1, Texas recognizes Texas Girls in STEM Day. The day marks a chance to celebrate and encourage the participation of girls in this state in fields related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — and is the result of House Bill 3435, passed by Representative Rhetta Bowers during the 86th Regular Session.
