Owner Jason Saldana has had a passion for barbecue since middle school, learning various tips and tricks over the years. The desire to own his own BBQ joint was always there.
He honed his craft working for famed former Victoria BBQ Joint Quality Packers Smokehouse, and when a brick-and-mortar restaurant-ready location became available, he new he had to take his chance and opened up Iron Sharpens Iron BBQ!
He brought on board former Quality Packers smoked meat whisperer Victoria Limon as pitmaster, and their huge selection of tasty meats and sides reflect that background.
They use a mix of post oak, live oak, and pecan in an Oyler rotisserie pit to smoke the meats just right, and they are always in the kitchen coming up with new ideas for daily specials like Doritos brisket nachos and more. Jason recommends the 4-meat, 4-side plate. You can try a little bit of everything and it's big enough for 2 people to share. Don't pass up dessert either!
The joint is open for drive through only right now as well as for and catering right now, but high demand has allowed them extend their hours for dinner hours.
